Christian Georg Werner's book “Dialog auf Augenhöhe. Klingende Brücken zwischen Jung und Alt” is about a German project in which adolescents and seniors of a nursing home were together engaged in music activity. Two main hypotheses were formulated: first, a mutual prosocial behavior of young and old participants should be observed as transfer effect. Second, the ratings of quality of life shouldn't decrease during the whole intervention for seniors as well as adolescents. Missing statistical analysis leads to unclear results. By founding his project in 1998 Werner’s merit lies in his far-sightedness of focusing on a main western challenge of demographic change.
