Abstract

In July 2024, on the occasion of the retirement of Prof. Dr. Andreas Lehmann-Wermser, editor of Beiträge empirischer Musikpädagogik, a scientific symposium took place, which focused on the topics of participation research, competence research and science-practice communication. Andreas Lehmann-Wermser's extensive contribution to music education and beyond is reflected in the articles in this special issue. The report provides an overview of the discussions and results of the symposium.
